So I finally completed my knife set that I'm bringing with me deer hunting. These knives are all razor sharp and even though I could probably make do without the 110, its just an excuse to get one!
From top:
For getting the meat off the bone - Victorinox 6 inch curved flexible boning knife
For skinning/joint separation - Buck PakLite large skinner
For gutting/misc - Buck 110 Custom shop with S30v blade, finger grooves, cherry wood and nickel bolsters. It's a good all around knife to have with me.

What does everyone else bring hunting? Pictures appreciated!

357,

Really diggin the custom 110. Didn't know they did that. I just went over to their web page and tooled around with the knife configurator. Pretty cool.

I didn't know it was possible to order a custom 110 and the day I did is the day I ordered the knife you see in the picture! I can tell you there is a noticeable difference when compared to the off the shelf knives.

The little machete at the top is more like my e-tool than a knife; clearing brush and digging catholes.
The DH Russell Canadian knife has slaughtered all my elk except my first 2 back in '78 and '82. The Herter's Canadian I inherited from my Dad.
The PAL 24 and the little Pixie at the bottom are my fishing knives but one or the other goes along as there is often a trout stream around where I hunt.
The German folder has a great gut zipper but it gets full of elk fat if I use it for much else other than a cork screw.
I'll be taking the Old Hickory along to break it in instead of the Canadians. It hasn't taken any game so far but has worked great on domestic sheep and goats. Sorry about the glare.
I end up boning out my game if I'm any more than 2 miles off a road (which is where all the elk seem to be). Lightens the load some.

The knives are great, especially the ones you made Bldsmith :what::what: Good to see that they get used and are not just for display
