Semi, bolt, or lever action .22 LR?

Didn't Savage start offering Accutrigger-equipped .22s, basically as direct response to CZ's adjustable standard triggers (slightly creepy but very manageable) and now the set trigger-equipped 453s?

For a long time I would have recommended a bolt---until I got current Marlin Model 60...Out-of-the-box accuracy is WAY better than any 10/22 I've seen, in fact its so accurate its SCARY. Tube mag, so you can't lose it. Mine has a pretty decent trigger, for a factory job. Dependable as a brick, mine's got like 5000 rounds through it...all for $125-150...Add a scope and rings (I put a Tasco Pronghorn 3-9x) on mine, for less than $200 total...What's not to like?

P.S. Don't have much experience with lever guns, because I don't much care for them, can't really say why.

The tube fed autos (not a 10/22) are functionally as accurate as the bolts. IOW, you can't out shoot them. Where you might get into hairsplitting is when you get an Anschutz bolt, in other words a dedicated target rifle. But that's outside my area of interest. When you can consistently hit a penny at 50 yards with an auto and 4X scope, what more accuracy are looking for? :uhoh:
