I recently tried both of these in 9mm. About 150 rds. each, fps range on my chrono 1050 - 1200, 115 and 124 gr jacketed bullets.

The SA seem hotter, consistently 20ish fps faster than Fiocchi. Good consistent velocity for each.

Both loaded and seated with no problems in an old Dillon RL450.

I had about 3% failure to ignite with the SA (5 rds in all, fired fine on second strike), no failures with Fiocchi.

Guns were Glock 19 and Sig P365XL. Both were clean & in good condition and have been reliable over several years. Going to try the SA in a hammer fired pistol and or revolver to see if that makes any difference.

As of now SA are ok for range/plinking, Fiocchi preferred. Actually Fiocchi is as good as anything I’ve used so far.

Cost of both just under $70/1000 delivered. Still way too much imo. Also imo domestic manufacturers have treated we long time customers very badly.

Yes, I agree. And Fiocchi's will run through my Double Alpha Prima Fill and Winchesters won't. I use the DA Prima Fill for filling primer tubes for my LNL-AP.

Where did you find the Fiocchi's for under $70.00 delivered?

Graf’s, but you have to buy a case of 12,000. The $8.50/150 is a great price these days, not available around here.’ I’ll use Fiocchi from now on if I can. I hope for all of us prices keep coming back to somewhere near normal.

I ran the fiocchi lrp, packs of 150 in 30 30 reloads with Leverevolution in a friend's marlin 336(I believe it is) we did a Ladder test. Went very well. No failures. And the lower loads did the best. Said almost 40 years. And his gun never shot a group like that.
He had previously gotten brass reloaded years ago, from another guy who worked here. He said the guy didn't need to have his gun for a day or they didn't do any testing. I told him, that's probably why your gun never shot a group like that before.
Was my 3rd ladder test ever. Help from THR and books. Reloading is a great way to group.

For the price they ask I’ll pay a few more dollars and get US made. Never had a FTF
On a CCI primer

Don't try the New CCI 450's because you will probably be disappointed.

You will also pay 25 to 30 dollars more a thousand for US.

I loaded some SPP in .38 light target loads last night. focaccia primers are a bit snug on my Dillion SBD press primer, but I like that! Great feedback feel on the seating.

I’ve had terrible luck with the SA primers in my Beretta 92, 80% FTF. On the other hand, maybe 2% FTF out of my Glocks, Springfields, Rugers, and Kahrs using the same loads. I’ve also loaded the SA primers in small primer .45 ACPs with no problems. When I’ve had FTF in anything but my Beretta they’ve always fired on the second try. Still have 6000 SA primers on the shelf, but CCI and Remington primers are now showing up at our local Sportsman’s Warehouse so I’m moving in that direction when I’m buying more.

I only shoot revolvers, so I don't own or have any data on semiautomatic pistols.

If you put the cases in a baggie and use two sprays of Hornady one shot case lube then shake the bag for couple of minutes; you will notice a big difference even using the SDB it also helps on the primers seating.

I've used Fiocchi primers for years with no problems. I've stayed away from the Servicios because of reports similar to your experience. For a long time we would see Fiocchi at gun shows for good prices.

Sounds like it's time to change the mainspring in your Beretta

Just finished loading 100 9mm rounds using SA SPP. I've shot off about 500 of these primers without any problems so far. These are for a G48,the previous have all been fired from hammer type pistols.

I just shot 100 of the SA primers between a Sig P210, Walter PPQ and a Star model B. They all worked as they are supposed to. Bought them for about $350 delivered for 5,000 of them.

Sure they were seated firmly to the bottom of the primer pocket? That's generally the issue with primers not going off. Thanks
This is one reason to question forum primer reports. In my long forum viewing there seems to be an 80%-90% chance of a primer FTF being from operator error. Seating primers, all the way to the bottom of the pocket, regardless of "below flush measurements", is easily missed. Not only new reloaders, but can be an OOPS! for experienced reloaders too.

One thing that can cause people a tendency to not seat a foreign primer all the way is because they are slightly larger and more difficult to seat. I just switched from Bosnian primers to Federal and the Federal primers slide in very easily in comparison.
