Ship gun without FFL?

I have the opportunity to sell a gun (Glock 34),but requires shipping WITHIN the state of Texas.(I am a Texas resident.)Can I ship without an ffl legally?

I believe that an intrastate transfer does not require an FFL to receive the gun, and can be shipped directly to the recipient.

Call your local BATFE office.

unless you are sending a firearm out ot be repaired by a gunsmith or the manufacturer you must go through a FFL dealer. otherwise take a long weekend and meet halfway somewhere since you both of you live in Texas.

It's an intrastate transfer and no FFL is required on either end. Even if it was interstate, an FFL would only be required on the receiving end.

State Laws on this subject may be different.

Rules to follow federally:

To transfer/sell a firearm interstate, you must ship the firearm to the FFL of the purchasers choice in the purchasers state of residence. If it is a handgun, you must ship it via private contract carrier, not USPS, unless you happen to be friends with an FFL who will send it for you. Then you can send it USPS.

Intrastate, it is perfectly legal. YMMV depending on state laws.
