I'm looking into building an AR-15 pistol and making it a PDW style weapon. So far I'm a fan of the buffer tube with an attached PDW style collapsible stock. from what I've read it looks like Maxim PDW brace is shorter in it's collapsed state than the SB PDW stock. I'm really striving for a compact package and was wondering how the Strike Industries PDW stabilizer compares to the Maxim? Looking for stats about length collapsed, length extended, weight, and opinions about comfort, quality of construction, etc... Anyone with any experience with these 2 or recommendations for other stocks I should look at?

P.S. I put this in the rifle section because most of these companies make bonafide rifle stock versions of their products that fit and function identically to their brace versions, and people might be familiar with those instead. If the moderators would rather move this to the pistol accessories section feel free.

I've got the Maxim on my .300 PDW long with their captured spring:

It works extremely well.

I've not had the chance to check out the Strike other than what I've read. I really like the cheek rest on the strike, but it does add some overall length. I also really like the thinness of the brace VS. the Maxim. Another really cool feature is that it's spring loaded. It is cheaper, but only has 2 positions. I'm looking at one for my next build. Here's a compariosn photo without the cheek rest:
