Oddly enough, a downwardly-plunging firey handbask
Ok, I shamefully admit I have yet to mail my letters. Now that we are nearing crunch time, I need to know if I should still snail mail or fax.

Also, can anyone tell me who else I should mail besides my 2 senators? Names and addresses would be nice, as well as how to address them (IE "The Honorable blah blah blah" or "Senate Majority Leader....").

Also, does anyone have the address for Larry Craig's office? I have been very derilect in my duty to write to him thanking him for his struggle in the S. 659 fight. Would it be ok to suggest the NFA and GCA repeal riders in teh same letter? I am not sure if he would be up for that or not. God knows my two senators wouldnt. They voted for the .30-30 ban.:barf:

Snail mail would be best as the letter would be received, date stamed and read by at the very least a staffer.

Addressing a letter to any Senator or Representative should be addressed to "Senator so-and-so" or Congressman (congresswoman) so-and-so.

The salutation shoud be in the form of Dear Senator.... or Dear Congressman or Congresswoman....

If they are the Chair of a Committee or hold a leadership position, that should be in the address line below their name and above the street address.

Do a Google search on Senator Larry Craig to find his website. You may have to search through the stuff to find an office mailing address.

All physical mail is now screened, sniffed, tested, xrayed, etc.

I prefer real mail but honestly, fax/email will get it there faster and they do respond.

If you want to send a letter, I'd CC: it fax or email.

Pick up the effin' phone and talk to the staffer that answers the phone in each office.

I did it and found out that each one had a preference as to the form (snail, email, fax) and the location to which they are sent. One senator prefers faxes to a local office. The representative prefers email which coincidently is opened locally, read, catalogued, printed and pouched to DC every day.

Let them tell you the best way to communicate.
