I had some experience with the older Sierra 3 BDX scopes, And it sounds like they fixed all the complaints I had about that line with the new Sierra 6s.
in terms of usage the guy that actually owns that setup does well with it now that it set correctly, But set up did take some time and it helps to have enough background to understand what the different adjustments in terms of ballistics and conditions effect.
Personally having never used the Sierra 6 scopes I'd have a hard time saying "yes, go for it"
But from what the reviews I've seen and read have said, I believe it should be a useful system though how much it would actually extend one's range is really more dependent on the shooter's ability then the equipment.
That said have more info, and removing any variable you can is always a help.
This weekend during our lunch break while hunting we had two shooters who've never taken a shot outside of probably 200 yards, and a couple of never even fired a rifle, making hits on a (at most) 20x12" rock at 680 with a basic ballistic reticle and the Strelok app. This system (properly set up) automates the drop compensation, and helps remove the possibility of using the wrong stadia line.
