I have a Sig P320 that came without night sights. I want to replace the sights with night sights but I don't know what sight size came stock on the pistol. Can anyone tell me if the stock sights are #6, #8 or #10? I looked everywhere and can't find that information.

What caliber is your P320?

Both my 9mm P320s full and compact came with #8 front and #8 rear.

Generally it goes;

#8 for both 9mm and 357Sig

#6 for 40S&W and 45auto

Looking down at your front sight there will be either a 6 or 8 to the left ( if I remember correctly) of the sight blade.

Looking at the rear sight from the side with your serial number visible there will also be either a 6 or 8.

Let me know what size you got on yours cause I've got a set of the Sig night sights that I took off my full size P320 and replaced with a set of Dawson Precision sights that are just collecting dust.

Have you looked on the sights themselves. Factory sights are marked on the sight body.

Failing that, we'd need the slide length and caliber to even begin guess at the sight number you'd need

The P320 is in 9mm Compact and no, I did not look at the sights. I had no idea they would be marked. It's one of the few semi-auto pistols I own and the only plastic 9mm.

Thank you both, I will look right now.

There is a #6 in the front and #8 in the back. Is it normal not to have a matched set?

Yes, the gun does shoot a little low and it was another reason why I was looking at changing sights. That was before I knew, where to look for the sight number. I tell you, this gun already took a trip back to Sig and now I find out its been shooting low because the ridntvmatch the #8 sights, just great!

I have a #6 on the front and a #8 on the rear of my 9mm 320C as it came from the factory. Mine shots POA/POI out to 20 yards...IDPA Classifier distance.

How low are they shooting and at what distance?
Are you shooting from a rest?

Not very low, about 2" @15 yards and it's offhand and unsupported. Ammo was 115gr Federal FMJ. I will take it out and do some real resting before I buy anything.

My 320 compact has 6/8 sights. With mine you cover the bullseye with the front sight and its dead on. When I first got it I kept trying to use the 6 o'clock hold and was shooting a few inches low.

Note: if you measure them, SIG includes the entire height of the sight including the dovetail/base. Dawson and everyone else measures from the top of the slide to the top of the sight. In case it comes to that.

Consider the Truglo Tritium front sight. I put one in my P320 and like it. Makes lining up on a target real fast

I have ameriglo Spartans on my 320's #8 size front sight only and the poa/poi is combat site picture or the 3rd sight picture that you would see in the article I included on my previous post. Sigs are typically sighted for this. However on my 229 & 226 that also have # 8 is more like the sight picture on # 2. However those two have tfo fiber optic front site, and just to confuse you even more my 229 legion both are #6. I am very accurate with all of them. Bottom line is they are accurate in any configuration, it is more of what sight picture you/they are set up for.

Edit: keep meaning to ask, what caliber is the 320? For sigs the 9 & 357 are typically 8/8, the 40 & 45 are 6/8

I'm not a SIG guy, but do SIG's use a "drive the dot" sight picture vs 6 o'clock hold. If so, and if the OP is using a 6 o'clock hold it would shoot low with a SIG.

Acdodd- I've but seen the two additional sight pictures with the tritium and fiber optic. Exactly how mine perform as I have those as well on my sigs. Thanks for posting those. Where did you find that? I posted the same article but have not run across the sight picture illustration with the other two. Nice job.

I was interested to learn that Sig sights are marked by size, and then saw that my .45 night sights aren't. By what's written above, they'd be #8? I'll have to replace them someday when the tritium decays far enough.

That would be odd if they are factory sights.

Factory sights have always been marked with sight numbers to allow for zeroing

On my P229 Legion (9mm), I have #6 front and rear sights. On my P226 Legion, I have #8 sights front and rear. I forgot to take a look at my P226 NSW to see what sights it had.
