My wife and I are passing through Austin next week and plan to stop at Silencer Shop to pick a few suppressors. I got to wondering, do they have a decent inventory? Is it worth stopping by? Is their online inventory what they have in their store?

Basically want to walk in and walk out starting my waiting game.

Stuff I am needing:
1. .22lr suppressor. Yeah I have a few cans, but not a single rim fire. Sacrilege, I know.

2. Round 9mm can. Looking at Silencerco because I have a bunch of pistons for my 45Osprey. Stupid reason, but I dont like how Osprey looks on PCC/PDW like AR9 and AKV.

3. Lighter .308 can. I have a YHM Phantom. It works fine, but is heavy. I dont want a Harvester or anything as this will be going on a Rec10, but I dont want a boat anchor either.

4. Optional. If I have enough leftover, I want one of those integral suppressed Ruger 22/45 setups. I have a Mark 2 22/45, and it is awesome. But I think one of these uppers with a Volquartsan lower would be one of the funniest guns imaginable.

So given the above, is it worth it to stop by? Or is there a better stocking dealer in Houston area that I can accomplish all this in one visit?

Also in a month or so I would like a Houston are dealer to help with a few form 1's. A couple lowers and a Shockwave. I wouldn't expect this for free, so I figure a purchase and paying them for their time/service would be in order. Kinda in the market for a SBR in AK format. Also thinking dipping into full auto layer this year.

They are the largest silencer distributor in the country.

While they do have a storefront and a fingerprint kiosk they do not do retail sales. They have some on display and staff that can answer question, but they will direct you to a Powered By Dealer near you. Each PBD sets his own price on their website.

Yup.

You won't.

If you have no clue what brand or model yes.
If you know what you want or simply have a question just call them.

No dealer in the country has the selection that SS has. There's a reason for that....Silencer Shop is not a dealer but a distributor.

Wow!

Thank you for the information. While disappointing, I am grateful that I found this out now, and not when I walked in.
Again thank you.

Everything Dogtown says! If you are in the area, go ahead and stop by. They will help you locate a dealer convenient to you (plenty in Houston), and answer any questions you might have. They are good people....

you could try stopping in at capital armory in cedar park. I have not been there, but they are another big dealer in the area. It's about 8 miles west of 35, and about 1.5 miles from silencer shop. as I recall, they claim they will ship a can directly to your door if you live in texas.
