Similar case heads to.40 S&W

Hello. I need a little help - a friend of mine have plans for making .40 S&W and .357 Sig blanks - for prop purposes. He needs a rifle (or long pistol) case with the same case head diameter for this. The case length must be at least 0.4" longer than the .40 S&W case to allow a star crimp. Do you have any suggestions?

I can't think of anything.

About the only rifle case even close to the .424"-.425" .40/10mm rim dia is the .224 Weatherby Magnum.

It meausres .430", but is a belted case.
The actual case dia in front of the belt is only .415" so it woundn't work.

What about the parent case for the 10mm Auto, the .30 Remington? Or perhaps the 6.8mm Remington SPC, whose parent case is also the .30 Remington.
 
yes, you are right - my mistake. But .223 case makes a really good 9x19 blank - tested and proven.
