Anyone that has actually owned one knows that they don't point at your stuff. I love thunder wear for those places that concealment is priority one.
Btw, ignore the comments from those that never tried or had one.
This. I nomally carry Appendix IWB for my Smith and Wesson 3913, but I have a SmartCarry that I use sometimes for my 38 snubbie. The original reason I bought it was because I worked somewhere that disallowed carry, but was located somewhere I realllllly wanted to carry. Ergo, I needed something more discreet than the belt holster or even pocket holster, due to dress code. The smart carry fit the bill nicely. It's basically invisible, and fairly comfortable under dress pants. I've never tried it in jeans.
These days, I mostly use it for walking the dogs late at night when I don't feel like putting anything heavier than gym shorts on. It's quick, comfortable and easily concealed.
Personally, it's not my favorite choice for daily carry, but it fits into a certain niche very nicely. It definitely does NOT leave anything pointed at your junk. The muzzle sits below the junk level, and it's in front of the junk, not above it.
As for the XDm comments, I'd happily carry one there. It has a grip safety, and I'm practiced in putting my thumb on the rear of the slide/hammer when I reholster, which releases the grip safety and renders it safe.
Don't knock it til you try it. They're cheap, go buy one and see what you think.
