I practiced shooting this morining and did well for my skill level, down 1 in 36 shots (6 strings of 6), at 65 feet and <1 sec splits. I left the indoor range headed to my club's outdoor range, after a stop at the apartment for some more ammo. I was feeling good.

At the club, I practiced firing while moving forward and while moving backward. I was hitting the steel target, set at 13 yards, with a much higher percentage of shots then I usally do. You know, I'm still feeling good!

So I put paper out at 13 yards and started "two to the body and one to the head". Out of about 100 rounds, I dropped a handfull of body shots low and a few head shots were misses. Not bad for me, but while I was shooting, a friend who had just had his second heart operation in a few months, dropped by and we shot together for a while. Shortly, he headed over the the rifle range to shoot some black powder, and as he did I thought "Gee, this is good day".

If that was my whole day, I'd be a happy camper. But, on the way home I decided to stop for a pizza, and you know it was the best pizza I've had in years.

So at home, I get out of my truck with my chronograph, stand, and range bag on my right and the pizza and truck/apartment keys on my left. I make my way across the parking lot, trying not to lose the candy bar that is resting on the pizza box (hey,I said it's a good day), and head up the stairs.

I'm sitting at the computer, with my pizza, and start this thread. While I was typing along, my door bell rings. It's my neighbor, I don't really know her but she has a great smile. Anyway, she flashes those pretty while teeth and hands me my wallet. It seems that I lost it on my walk across the parking lot and didn't ever know it.

What a great day.
Hope yours is too!
