Some Wal-Mart stores "still" sell guns.

My local Wallys stocks lots of firearms, Weatherby, Remington, Winchester, Marlin etc. I buy all my rifle ammo there. I was in there a couple days ago and there were two guys behind the counter. One guy was helping someone with a license and the other was on the phone. Someone asked the guy on the qhone if they could check out the 870. Goober keeps flapping his gums at the phone and hands the customer the 870 without checking it first. :what: I said in a louder than normal voice: "Only in Walmart do they hand you a weapon without making it safe first.".:scrutiny: fortunately, Joe Customer checked it for safe and kept from sweeping anyone.

In York PA, Wal-Marts sell mainly .22's and 30-30's. They have a couple shotguns too, but they are sporting guns and not near tacticool enough for me.

The concern was that this is an urban area and it's not appropriate for guns to be sold, particularly hunting rifles," said Travis Snider, president of the Snelling Hamline Community Council.

Wow, good point chief, last I heard the inner city youth were causing a bunch of ruckus hunting in the woods of downtown St. Paul. Heard deer season there wasn't too bad, but turkey & dove season had some problems. Idiot. Stupid leftist, why don't you just come right out with your racist views - law abiding, lower income African-American folks can't be trusted with guns 'cause of the gangbangers.....

On a lighter note, my local Wal-Mart has finally started selling .45 in the 100 round value pack- yahoo!

If they are against the selling of guns in the inner cities; that means gun laws don't work, otherwise, background checks etc would be sufficient and "sensible gun control" would be just fine..

So they are talking out of both sides of their mouth..

:barf:

A lot of gun stores, because of the WalMart incident, have a little poster that says "10 x 24hour days" instead of "10 days".

Hmm where to place the blame?

Wal-Mart has such low prices because they don't pay didley-squat in wages.

They hire almost anyone who can manage to scrawl a name on the application. They don't hire people for their brains they hire them because they show up.

Wal-Mart orientation is a six hour class of Company propaganda and polices to avoid any more labor lawsuits. The training is all done on-the-job by another employee who learned the same way.

If we want to keep getting those great ammo deals then we'll have to tolerate Sparky behind the counter.
