Sometime next week I'll get ahold of the ranger station @ strawberry resivoir and try to reserve a campground in the area for one of the 2 first weekends in august.
 
BTT. Please post if you are interested in one of those weekends before friday may 13th. I am serious about reserving a campground. Same spot as last year-it has paved sites and clean restrooms. And unless it has changed it's $6.00 per vehichle per night. You will need to bring your shade and firewood with you. Shooting is about a 5-10 min. drive from camp. Hope to see you there. :D :D

If you want to "rough it" plenty of good sites are in the area surrounding the improved campground.

Come on guys last year was fun but way too small !!!!! Even if you can only make one day come on out!!
 
Thanks for being the get-R-done person on this. Count me in, it's a little ways out, but barring last minute changes I'll be good to go..
 
It's going to have to be the first weekend in August. The second weekend I'm chairing a "friends of the nra" dinner. Should be renegade point campground.

Going to try to reserve it by this weekend. Any problems I'll let you all know.

All right folks listen up:

As of tomorrow I will be putting a $200 campground reservation on my cabelas card. I am reserving 4 double occupancy sites for August 5th through 7th.

That means I don't want to have to personally drag you out there to recover my money!!! :D So everybody better be for showin' up!!!! ;)

You wanted a "go to" guy, you got him. Now just don't leave me out in the weeds folks!!!!!!

That's the weekend of my anniversary. My odds of being able to go are slim to none for sure.

Its a forum I was just introduced to that is geared towards Outdoor activity in Utah. Includes hiking, backpacking, fishing, 4x4ing, and some other stuff. Small group so far could use some more traffic for sure.

I probably won't make the outing, the weather has made scheduling for our business a nightmare(landscape maintenance).
 
Zane, I didn't realize you were in Kearns. I'm in West Jordan, but in that NW little part where I can throw a rock and hit Kearns. :)

I've been looking around here for the past few months and finally decided to register. This is a great place from everything I've seen.

I just returned home from a week at Bryce Canyon. What a neat place! On the way up we drove through Cottonwood Canyon instead of going through Kanab from Page, and that 41 miles of dirt "track" sure allowed us to see some beautiful scenery in the Escalante Grand Staircase.

Parts of Utah are some of the finest country on God's green earth.
