Got the gun earlier today but I didn't manage to make it to the range or even really any decent pictures. Looks like Monday most likely.

If I'm reading the full serial number correctly, I believe mine is production number 520. It came well oiled with a pretty decent trigger. Only 2 mags were in the case, but I already submitted the form online to get the 3 additional mags and the carrying case. Better pics to follow when I have some time.

Here's a few more pics of better quality. I'll take it apart for a photo session when I find a few minutes. Monday looks like a shooting day but I did promise to help someone with their shooting, so I may not be able to shoot more than a few mags through this gun. That may be a good thing though as these mag springs are some of the stiffest I have dealt with in awhile!

Update.

The 4.5" ones have shown up locally, and both sizes have shown up on gunbroker.... before shipping, the 4.5" ones are running around $600, and the 5.25" ones about $690.

I just picked mine up. The ergonomics for me are excellent and the trigger is very good, much crisper than I remember the triggers on my former XDM’s and XD’s being. I’ll find time over the next week to make it to the range.

I did notice the grip is longer than it appears. My other XDm has a flared magwell so it fits my hand differently.

I just got back from the range. I'm more than happy with it. I shot about 150 trouble free rounds. I shot a mix of my reloads, Buffalo Bore 220 grain hardcast, Underwood 165 grain Gold Dots and Doubletap 125 grain Barnes rounds. The recoil to me feels slightly greater than my Glock 20 and noticibly greater than my P220, but the P220 is much heavier, so that's to be expected. That being said, even with full power ammo it's very manageable. The attached target is 60 rounds from 21 feet shooting as fast as I could without getting kicked out of the range. The accuracy for me is where it shines, as I could never shoot my Glock as accurate as I shot the XDM. That's not to take anything away from the Glock, as it's a great, reliable gun, and just as accurate in the right hands, but the larger grip just wasn't a fit for me. This one is definately a keeper.

I've decided that I'm definitely getting one of the 5.25" ones - sorry Rock Island, but I need this lighter one.
