Hi all. I have an old 67F that fails to fire. I know it is a "cheep" gun so no big deal right? It would be great if it were functional, so if anyone can run some ideas that I can do myself by me that might help me resolve this issue, it would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

These shotguns are very bad about breaking firing pins. They break at the transition point from .200" to .100". A step like that is asking for problems but we are stuck with the design. The two pieces line up and fire sometimes and don't at others.

Hammer falls with no indication of primer strike.

I would rather an arm to go "bang" when it should

Dag nabbit.

Thanks for the responses.

Sounds like a broken firing pin(most likely). They are not the easiest to replace but not the hardest either. It depends on your skill and comfort level if you want to try it yourself.

It might also be the bolt not locking up all the way, which prevents the firing pin from going forward.(less likely)

Thank you Sir, I'll go ahead and start pulling the bolt out and stripping it to take a look. Easy or hard, they all fit together in their own way, sometimes requiring an offering of blood and a few choice words.
