A friend is giving me an older Stevens SxS. He doesnt know what model it is. Said it's external hammers, and a double barrel 12 gauge. Said something about made in Japan or China he forgets... What is the likely model? Thanks.
I doubt that any STEVENS shotgun with external hammers was ever made overseas anywhere @ anytime. There is a model 225 & a 242 with external hammers made back 60 or 70 yrs ago. Very nice guns. The model # should be on the action bottom I think....look for it. Then go find a Stevens site and ask about it. Let us know what you find out.
