I did find a source for a 13-round magazine here: https://www.ableammo.com/catalog/st...pact-magazine-st34096-9mm-round-p-172281.htmlI've been looking at buying a Stoeger also, but they have a problem with magazine availability. I won't buy a gun I can't get parts for. They also only have a five year warranty. I'm now leaning in the Canik direction. Parts are readily available and a lifetime warranty.

You sure about that? My front sight is dovetailed in and Stoeger says no other sights on the market match the dovetail patterns.I had the full sized Str9. Shot great, no complaints, Tru Glo sights from Glock 27 fit right on it.
Never seen a glock with a dovetail front sight. They seem to be all be a post and screw set up, while the rear is dovetailed. Was the stoeger a screw on front sight too? These were adjustable and ordered for the G27 from Tru Glo but I didn't actually get around to putting them on the G27. They did fit the Stoeger.
just wondering what focused you on the stoeger? what other $300ish, compact handguns are you considering before 5/15?I am considering buying one at an out-of-town store here in NM before the 7-day waiting period goes into effect May 15th. Does anyone here have any experience with them? $299 with $50 rebate if purchased by April 30th.

experience has taught me to be leery of both tiny and foreign handgun manufacturers when it comes to parts and warranty support, but ymmv.
btw is the 7-day wait a legislative change or your governor’s diktat? i thought that the courts reined her in…
