Whenever I am looking at purchasing a new gun, I like to check out youtube to see it in action; and every once in a while I get a real gem.

Such as...

Yes, the epitome of safety lies in these videos. I can only wonder what devious plots the anti's are creating with these things.

I'm pretty confused, what exactly was wrong/funny about the first one? He clearly sees the dog running from the corner of his eye and raises the gun before the dog even gets close, turns to the side and fires a shot quiet a bit aways from the dog.

The second one I understand, Uncle Billy is a extremely safe guy, I enjoyed how everyone laughed at the fact that Billy is dumb.

I really HATE it when the people on youtube call guys "hillbillies" and "rednecks" because they have guns. Every damn video i watch has comments on it making fun of the people who enjoy shooting.
 
What's wrong with the first one? You guys are kidding, right?

Replace the dog with a running child and you might understand what's wrong with the first one. If I caught anyone attempting that while my dog was anywhere near the target area, I would ... well, it all depends on the circumstances, but we wouldn't be around there for another minute. Frankly, I don't care if it's his dog, that only makes him even more stupid.

That's not to mention how unsafe shooting at a pond can be if you don't know what lies beyond it. However, we ourselves don't know what lies beyond it, so the shooter may be ok in that respect - hard to say from a video.

I Actually saw a friend of mine do the same thing with the same result years ago. He was mighty embarrassed about it but he laughed about it later.

It continues to amaze me how many people are so quick to tell the world how stupid they are.

It started with the hanging chads in Florida and have just gone down hill from there.

I totally hear you... Does anyone think that these people became firearm owners? They didn't. They are the irrational gun phobes who we are batteling in society and that folks are this board are dating....

nwilliams, the last two vids you posted were fake. Most of the time when you see kids with guns on Youtube, it's them trying out their photoshopping skills to see if they can make a believable video.

As for the first video, the one with the dog, if some of you think its fine and it's your dog, fine by me. But if it's MY dog and your pulling that crap, expect to have some rounds flying in YOUR direction.
 
i'd hope if there were guns and other people around your dog would be on a leash tied to something.

No thats not necessary either. We should EDUCATE the offending party through wisdom and intellectuality. Such actions like above won't resolve things one bit.
