Rachen, do you New Yorkers ever stop trying to lecture the rest of us on how WE SHOULD behave?

It can't be racist unless there is race involved. Go open a google page and type in, Charlie Pride. He was a redneck. Study the picture very carefully and you MIGHT see my point, although I dunno, you are from NYC.

Please don't lump me with the rest of the hatemongers. While I live in New York, I am not the least bit proud to call myself a New Yorker. In fact, I never refer to myself as a New Yorker. I may be living there, but my heart is always with the true America.
 
Replace the dog with a running child and you might understand what's wrong with the first one. If I caught anyone attempting that while my dog was anywhere near the target area, I would ... well, it all depends on the circumstances, but we wouldn't be around there for another minute. Frankly, I don't care if it's his dog, that only makes him even more stupid.

But see, it's not a child. I'm going out on a limb here, but that was most likely his dog. He raised his weapon A LONG TIME before the dog even got near the front of the weapon not to mention it was a 1 second before the dog came into the LOF and another 2 before he shot, which was to the side where the dog couldn't possibly be hit by anything other than the spray of water from when the bullet hit 5-7 feet to the left of it. It may not be safe to shoot into water, but please don't start that "it could have been a child" nonsense.

But he never said it could have been a child. I mean, if you like to squeeze off a few rounds from the hip in the general direction of your dog then more power to ya, but I like to think that our canine companions deserve a little more respect than that.

Ok, I shouldn't lump you in... But you lumped me in with Racists. Again, another very New York attitude. In future you should appreciate the humor and save your reactionary tactics for when something is truely over the line.

It's a black powder revolver. I'm guessing he loaded it pretty light, and unless he's totally nuts (which he might be), he probably tested it on at least one freestanding helmet before he went "live."

Of course he's nuts! Any person with a brain and any knowledge in gun safety wouldn't even point an UNLOADED gun at their head.
 
Yes I also think there is a difference between stupid and crazy. I think that guy fits the bill of both :)

I'm not sure that's exactly firearm stupidity per se. While it certainly isn't smart, given the context, I'd say it's just a case of not giving a damn.

I'm certainly not condoning it. I'm just saying that I really don't think firearms safety is the first thing on these guys minds (regardless of the dope smoking).

I don't know if Mythbusters has busted this, but when I was taught gun safety at day camp about 45 years ago, I was taught that bullets shot at water at a low angle can skip water just like a stone. If true, there's every possibility that bullets fired at the water will wind up down range.

Sorry man! I just have a very strong tendency to chastise people on Youtube comments section. No New York attitudes for me. I may be born in NYC and live in NYC but I have nothing to do with it.:barf:

I am a veteran Black Powder shooter, and idiots like that one really, really makes me lose my appetite.
