Well, went to a match today and heard a debate of Glocks, vs, 1911s vs CZ. No one talked about the Constitution. We mods hope that new folks take our political content rules to heart.

"CZ 75D PCR Review: The Compact Which Is Hard To Find". Can't paste the "copy" link---

It can be a bit confusing, with two types of all-metal. compact CZ Sizes. Am not familiar with any others in this category.

For whomever might be really curious, the PCR is always DA/SA.
The CZ true "Compact" (the proper designation for a >variation<) has only a safety, somewhat like a 1911

I got to play with a Shadow 2 and an AccuShadow. Definitely on a want list now. Some of the other ones haven't appealed to me. I can't remember what I held recently but I hates the grip texturing. Felt way too bumpy

That has more to do with where one is in one's journey in the firearms/shooting world.

New people just learning the basics are going to want to discuss the basics. Many, if not most, of us have already had those discussions and are now focused on the very grave threats to our community that we are not allowed to discuss here. It's like being on the Titanic and the captain won't allow anyone to mention the giant iceberg right in front of their very eyes.

But what we can do is provide emphasis on the importance of firearms ownership and discuss why these “newbies” purchased firearms in the first place.

I think it’s more like being in “The Valley of Snakes”.
They are all over the place, we know. Grab a snake stick and move them, or a machete and snip their heads off, or shoot them with rat shot, beat them to death with a club several times!
Or even just walk around them.
But please! Stop screaming “Snake”!;)

Now, my CZ is a 1911.
So I guess I get a tux and topper, and a monocle.:)
And I also get to mention condescendingly, “New Money, Buffy”, as I roll my eyes at skinny jeans and stamp my sapphire encrusted cane annoyedly as I smell the wine is a Metodo Classico and not a Demi-sec.

my 1911 is Filipino....

You can look, just don’t touch the glass, I just had it cleaned...

Wait, you said 1911?
Poppycock!
You come right in, Sir!
Please forgive the formalities. We’ve had some scuttlebutt about plastic things lately and are trying to keep out the RiffRaff.
But, as you already know, a 1911 by any other name will still smell as sweet.

How do they chew on your hand? You don’t strike me as the type with pretty boy hands.
If i dont hold my thumb out from the side of the gun the slide will hit/rub along the first knuckle joint. The slide serrations cut deep enough to bleed if i shoot a stock slide for a while. Most of the aftermarket slides ive used are sharper at the bottom and cut in just a few shots.

I could also just be holding the things wrong, no ones ever shown my how to hold a handgun, so i just hold them so the sights line up when the gun comes up.

I modified the frame on the canik because it pushed on the same knuckle.

I own two CZ’s; I don’t want to be snobbish as I also own three 1911’s - the CZ’s fit my shooting hand very well; I like them, I shoot them well - the 1911’s, quintessential.
Some people get bothered by calling out the snakes, some people get more bothered by those that want to stifle snake truth. I am never bothered by the truth and muzzling the messenger does not change it. I vaguely remember some story somewhere about a serpent that once cost us everything, I do not want to repeat that history if I can help it.
In turn, I think that we are all entitled to honorary degrees as Navajo Windtalkers for speaking in code - and the elephant is still in the room.

Does it do this with all Glocks? It’s definitely a grip issue. Glocks are really great handguns. And I have a couple. But I prefer my 1911’s (RIA, Rem, CZ Dan Wesson). Funny thing is, I had to learn how to hold them (the 1911’s) before I could ever shoot them worth a darn.

Being able to single handedly thumb cock an Eagle, I find the Beretta, CZ and Glocks to be nice, hand filling pistols. Very accurate for me. I imagine I’d love a double stack 1911.
But when it comes to going out, I dance with a skinny girl...

:D

All I know is I come here to talk about firearms and in this case, being funny about being snooty about firearms, not snakes.
If I want to talk snakes, in every Blessed thread, there are sub-forums here. Not every rifle is for hunting...
And please don’t misconstrue following THR guidelines for a casual dismissal of snakes. I’m with you, completely friend.
But I’m here for the CZs.
My one and only, so far...

I might need a new picture of her, but she looks the same. Ageless.
I tend not to stay in places with too many snakes, that’s what Foxes are for.;)
