Socialism has won to the point that people will insist they aren't socialist while spouting marxist ideals.... of course, it helps that they've never read marx and don't really know what socialism is.

Was it Huey Long who said, when asked if fascism would ever come to America, "Yes, but it will be called anti-fascism"?

I also seem to remember a recent survey of Americans in which disturbingly high amounts of citizens thought "from each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs" was in the Constitution... along with the right to a job...

How easy is it to become a Swiss citizen compared to becoming a US citizen? I'm guessing it's very difficult. I'm also guessing they don't provide welfare and healthcare to illegal aliens.

Isolationism and basing your economy on being the world's banker work well if you're surrounded by mountains and all of your citizens have a military rifle in the closet.

That you choose to label ANY association to larger population groups as 'Socialism' makes it appear you are either playing a troll-ish game here, or you are really a propagandized anti-everything sort. You are appearing to assert that ANY form of central or Federal govt is 'Socialism'. Is that your belief?
