I'm looking for a sitting height bipod. Not really inclined to jump into the high end (>$100) units becuase a bipod is a secondary thing to me right now so Harris and the knockoffs are what I'm looking at.
I've got two of the shorter Harris bipods with the cant feature and the notched legs. I like them pretty well and want the same in the 13-25 range, but whenever I look at the Harris units, their taller bipods do not have the leg notches. I've got a bipod with the friction lock legs and the stupid spring retract like the base Harris uses and hate it. It takes three hands to adjust. I'd like to buy Harris, but I see that Caldwell sells basically exactly what I want

Is there any reason not to buy the Caldwell? Am I just not finding the Harris model with these features? I know Harris is the original, but it's looking like they haven't kept their product up to date.
