Ted Nugent on Heller

The High Road is traveling a little lower than normal today.

When you travel too high all the time, too little oxygen, and too much soot buildup in the engine. It wears down the engine and shortens the life of your transmissions and exhaust.

Travel a little lower. It's better. More oxygen. More complete combustion of fuel, cleaner burning, and it is much easier on the engine, and the environment.:neener::D

WAY TO GO MR. NUGENT!!!
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED YOU:D:D:D

Pro-gunners need Ted Nugent like brain surgeon needs a jackhammer.

Ted Nugent is a wackjob, and his "madman" antics make us all look bad. We are calm, intelligent, levelheaded, and conduct ourselves with cool decisiveness and professionalism. Ted Nugent does not. His statements, although maybe just and/or correct, are completely overshadowed and fully diminished by his out of control attitude and demeanor.

As long as he conducts himself as he does, Ted Nugent is not helping. We would be much better off if Mr. Nugent just kept to himself and stopped talking.

Someone needs to send Ted a note asking him to read the dissenting opinions; 9 out of 9 justices agreed that the 2nd describes an "individual right".

Ever heard of Mike Vanderboegh? His works are very similar to Mr. Nugent's. HOWEVER, I wouldn't call them "extreme". They are lambs compared to the anti-gun leftist extremists. Ever hear how the leftist elitists talk? Hint: Obama's priest. [Shudder]

We need people like Mr. Nugent and Mr. Vanderboegh to remind the freedom haters that we are tough too, and that we WILL protect our rights.

Yes sometimes Ted is way out there, but in this case he's right on. As someone on another forum wrote "Ted Nugent is a moron, but he's our moron."

Ted is certainly strange and I definitely do NOT share his zeal for hunting, nor do I share his taste in music. Behind all that showmanship however, you see that his core values are good and solid.

His rants are formulated something like this:

[Crazy Hunting stuff, warrior me good, bows and arrows], People have a right to be free and defend themselves, [meat good, blah blah], self-defense is a God given right, [meat, meat, meat], the founding fathers were wise.

If a Nation goes to war, and its motivations are relevant, noble and just, there will be no shortages of volunteers.

That old myth again. There was conscription during WW2. We could not have had the greatest number of men under arms for that war with just a volunteer army, and very few people questioned the validity of that war compared to the current war.

I consider Ted to be a vital part of our fight for rights. Sometimes you need to have a calm, intellectual discussion about politics and the Constitution. Sometimes you need to turn the Nugent firehose on a moron, though. Each has its place.

Many US citizens were misinformed about WWII. News do not travel fast at that time, and Hitler was able to cover up his atrocities really good, at least until the Soviets ripped him to shreds on the western front. By that time, the war was nearing it's end.

However, when the Japanese attacked, there was a surge of outrage, and a surge of volunteers never seen before in US history.

When they drafted me in 69 I went, I didn't wanna go and woulda got out of it if I could have easily. It was BS action from day one till the end. Everyone knew it was at the time and history has proven it. The guy's I knew that went to school for years or got their girl pregnant on purpose to avoid that mess, I hold no animosity toward. If you left the country to not go you shoulda stayed were you went losing your citizenship IMHO.

Go Ted! We need a voice like yours.

Same thing with the current war. It is armed robbery, committed on an international scale. Armed robbery for other nations' resources.:barf:

We need more libertarians out there in politics. More REAL conservatives. I am a loyal reader of Nugent, as well as Vanderboegh. Their works of literature are an extension of the rights given to us by our Founders.

The big mistake y'all are making is thinking that we had a need, a right or a necessity going to Vietnam, Korea, Iraq or Serbia. Had we remained a Republic and not have allowed foreigners to turn us into a Democracy, we would have stayed clear of all these conflicts and minded our own beeswax. If you don't agree, there's a wall in Washington that any official from Hanoi can visit whenever they wish too. So please, someone explain what all those boys died for? Especially with American tourists now visiting Hanoi for their weird food and cheap prostitutes.

I've heard of him.

People like that make it easy for others to dismiss them as crazies, just as we do any anti who comes off as a raving lunatic.

He comes off as a maniac, and is therefore much harder to take seriously, regardless of what he's saying. The only thing they are reminding anybody of is that they are off their rockers. You can't hear their message due to the volume at with it is presented. It just becomes noise.

The other angle is that Ted is a person of higher profile. As such he could be seen by others as sort of representative of pro-gunners. Do you want to your first impression to the world to be made by him? I don't. I hope that people don't think, that because I am pro-gun, that my general personality is the same as Ted Nugents.

The same challenge that China is facing now. Trying to keep foreigners from exerting malign influence over our politics, which can have devastating consequences. True American conservatives must campaign to bring the Republic back.

Forget Nooge, this fact is getting lost here on THR.

We are definitely not all intelligent, etc., not by a long shot. Ted is raw, that is for sure. Rock on Ted!

Joe needs to chill.

If you had put the name 'anonymous' next to these words everybody would agree with them.

Let's not confuse the message with the messenger.

Ted is great on the 2nd, self defense and illegal immigration but some of his other stances are a little out there.
