They are easier and faster in the proper light, no question, once you get used to them.
I have issues being colorblind and even on full power I can easily lose the dot (and full circle with dot) in just the wrong light. I keep wanting to use them but the occasional range days I have to go to backup irons out of the holster has put a pause on it. I don’t want to need to change my entire sight picture philosophy dependent on lighting conditions that might not be immediately obvious.
But, again, I think that’s a me issue with my eyes, I want a “geezer” sight on my carry gun full time if I can find the combination that works 100% of the time
