Thanks, creature. This BCM upper is as good as it gets IMHO.
This upper, while not the lightweight barrel version, is freakishly light, which makes it quick and very pointable. As you may have guessed, I am squarely in the keymod camp. I am not a fan of m-lok because that system is not self-centering...keymod is, by design, self-centering. Also, the m-lok locking nuts WILL eventually wear out after repeated installation and removal, unlike the keymod.
I have Wilson Combat triggers on two different rifles. I have a service competition rifle that uses the two-stage Wilson Combat TR-TTU-M2. The rifle seen above is equipped with the Wilson Combat single-stage trigger, as I do not like a two-stage trigger on 'duty' weapon that could see use in a CQB scenario. Both of these triggers have ultra-crisp breaks and a very short yet wonderfully tactile reset. I have used Timney, Geissele and AR Gold triggers extensively...and I much prefer the Wilson triggers. Both my 2-stage and my single-stage triggers have over 2k and 4K pulls each on them respectively and they both break / reset as crisply as the day they were made. These are TOUGH triggers.
As for the Primary Arms optic, yes it has the ultra-fine 2 moa dot. For me they are the new poster child for reliable... think Timex watches or Samsonite luggage advertisements. The PA's take a beating but still keep on ticking. I have literally abused two other Primary Arms reddot optics to a pulp...they still work fine and they still hold zero. IMO the PA's are extremely underestimated and are the best value reddots in all the land. I would not hesitate for a second to walk in to harm's way with one on my rifle.
