So I have learned that, sometimes, I only need to tell my son once. He is nine. About am month ago, I was quizzing him on the Four Rules, etc. etc., and humerous stuff I have read on this site (Tacticool, etc.).
Anyway, I tell him about taking out the garbage - that I was going to go take it out myself. It was on the side of the house and it was a ittle heavy this week.
Son: Are you prepared?
Me: It isn't that heavy.
Son: Turn on the light.
Me: It is already on.
Son: What about when I go do it next week and there is a "BG".
Me: What?
Son: You know, a BG, hiding behind the fence.
Me: Just make sure you are always situationally aware.
Son: What?
Me: I'll explain that when I get back in.
Proud, indeed.
