I am a full time university cook (2 years) and pick up some spare change helping a local organic farmer during my lay-off periods (8 years seasonal). I hope to continue my education but that would require leaving my job and losing health insurance, which is a hard decision to make when you have health problems.

I am a production tech for a non-profit company. We are leaders in our field. We digitalize educational journals from their conception up to date. My son calls me a new age monk(ette). I love and respect the company I work for. It is exciting and rewarding to know I am part of the whole; saving the past for the future.

I get oily for a living.

I'm a machinist, our shop specializes in worm and gear drives. Everything from .5" diameter shafts to forgings weighing in over a ton after milling. Cutting oil stinks like sulphur and is hard to get out of your clothes. Just thought you'd like to know.
