Interesting topic

I manage the e-commerce operation for a computer-related company. My day is spent with HTML, SQL, an obscure programming language, vendor relations, and occasionally some direct sales when all of the salespeople are already on the phones.

Mechanical / Chemical engineer for a major oil company...project manager currently for work in the oil shale.

OK, I'll chime in. Three guesses and the first two don't count!

My official job is PACS administrator but take away the labels and fancy job descriptions for all the odds and ends I do and I am an xray tech. I gladly acquire new skills but never want to give up the patient interaction that comes from performing actual exams. I get in and see patients whenever my
other responsibilities allow. It really is the best part of the job.

I work in a string factory.

It's a very large, well known chemical (textile fibers) company that makes a very well known, bullet "resistant" (Don't call it "bullet-proof", our lawyers don't like the term.) fiber. Of course it has other end uses, but that's the most well known one.

Picture Homer Simpson at work. You've pretty well got me.

I work in biotech and I mostly do research. My job title changes very frequently. I've had three jobs this year alone working for big pharma, a small startup, and academic institutions.

Past: different, whatever has happened - been a seller in bookstore, been teaching physics and technology, been a CNC machine operator, been a private tutor, helping those who have fallen behind.

Currently: making expensive (like 3000+ bucks per couch) furniture. It's not something fancy, but is close to home and gets the bills paid.

Future: finish the university, maybe study IT, focus on cyber warfare. I did have an offer to take a job of expert in medical technology, maybe I should take it.
