Kind of funny, our anniversary was last Wednesday and I bought my wife a diamond necklace for her wedding present. No Colt Combat Elite for me though; already had a Colt Lightweight Government that I love. I did receive a Movado watch from my bride to be and we spent our pre-honeymoon on a Caribbean cruise.

Just thinking. Wouldn't it be neat to make a set of wedding rings from a Colt Barrel Bushing. A stone for the engagement could be set in the notch for the spring plug.

Kind of a neat idea but I couldn't even get the barrel bushing past the first knuckle of my pinkie and I have very small hands and fingers. Might take quite a bit of work to get it properly sized and fitted with a diamond.

That was actually me that nixed that. While I thought it would go well with the historic barn venue, I didn't think it'd go well with the open bar. I like my Bulleit bourbon Manhattan's a little much.
