I was just curious about how many of us own this little rifle and what flavor you chose to get it in, mine is chambered in 6.5 Grendel, topped it with a Sig Sauer whiskey 3 2-7x32 scope and put a Ruger radial brake on it to keep the muzzle still when firing.
these things come in a smorgasbord of calibers and colors. they are light, handy and mostly light recoiling (the 450 bushmaster has a monster brake on it to help tame it's recoil) I catch myself grabbing mine regularly when I go walking around the property.
the obligatory picture and a comparison with my TC Compass II 6.5 Creedmoor with a 22" barrel ( much heavier and slower handling)

I have two in 7.62x39, both have 2x7 scopes. They are great little rifles that are accurate, handy, and fun to shoot. I like to tote one on my ATV when I ride around in desert. If I feel like shooting, I just pull over and have some fun. Ammo is not too expensive, the accuracy is there, it has decent power. I like having a couple of extra 10 round magazines handy when I am out there as well.

I found that a Pelican 1030 case holds 60 rounds of 7.62x39 perfectly and keep the ammo dust/water free.

All in all, I would say they are great rifles!

Now I wish Ruger would make a .357 Mag version of the American series that uses the same rotary magazine as the 77/357. That would be a winner for me.

I've had two of the ranch rifles and a predator. The ranch rifles were both in 300 blk, but the one I still have is converted to 221 fireball. I haven't used it for it's intended purpose of a walking varminter yet, but I love these guns. Light and handy...

I have a love/hate relationship with the 7.62x39. I can shoot a long ways out where I am and sometime that shows the limitations of the cartridge. It is fun to shoot, however and I have a good supply. I always forget they make a 6.5 Grendel. That might be a fun one to play with. It would also be a new cartridge to reload for....maybe a nice winter project.....

Not to detract from the op, but has anyone swapped a x39 ranch rifle into one of the stanag pattern stocks and used a 7.62x39 ar mag to see how it feeds?
I want one in x39, but I don't want to invest in mini 30 mags for it...

First , personally I wouldn't spend more money on a cheep firearm. Second how many mags would I need for a bolt action

I'd like to get one for plinking and maybe pop a varmint every once in a while in 223/556. One in 6 arc would be sweet and a do all rifle. 2-7 on top or 1-6 lpvo would be perfect.

I built one in .308 for an all-around bugout rifle. I actually added the detachable mag assembly since the later Predator rifles didn't come with them. A Nikon 3x9 P-Tactical scope and it will do half MOA with reloads.

My brother mentioned 6 arc before covid and I said sure let's take a reduced loaded 243 out deer hunting when we don't like the delayed resulted we get with full power. Got one for a TC receiver and never found local brass.

I've got the ranch in 7.62x39. I already owned a Mini 30 so mags I already had. Amazingly the Promag 10 rounders work very well with both rifles. I've also got a compact in 5.56. Only takes the crappy 5 round mags. Both are great shooters though.

I have one in 7.62x39. I have a mess of AR mags, so I ordered the AR magwell for it. I like it so much, I went and picked up an American Predator in .308 with the 18" barrel. The AI magwell is on its way too.

Mine is a 300Blk I put it in a Boyd Spike Camp stock and have a Sightmark Wraith NV scope. The suppressor is a Gemtech ONE. I shoot mostly subsonic amd it's ridiculously quiet.

Buddy has a X39 with a 2-7X Vortex and raves about how well he likes it.
