I keep trying to replace my 239 as my EDC, but I can't love another as much. 100% flawless function after thousands of rounds, and carries like it's not even there. Eight round capacity is the only negative, but it keeps it slim and comfy.

Just off the top of my head, the slide stop and ejector are two separate pieces in the 226 as compared to the combo piece in the 220
You sure about that combo piece? I just sold a P220 and still have a P226. The slide stop assemblies seem identical to me.

I just went out to the garage and checked my 220 and 220ST just to be sure.

The ejector is part #32 in a 226

Which does not exist in a 220....its function is combined into the slide latch (#13)

This is correct. I don't have a 220 to look at, but the evidence is clear. Thank you!

I wish the 2022 had the same length/shape grip as the 226. I've seen them nib for $400 and that seems like a good deal for the money. I think people really seem to like the grip on the 226 in general. It's one of those pistols that feels good in the hand as soon as you pick it up. All that being said....I don't own one. Maybe one day I'll pick one up though. Who knows.

Just in case, the latest 2022 comes with an adjustable grip, like Gen 4 Glock.

I find it an interesting comparison as the 2022, as the 2009, always came with interchangeable grip panels...many years before Glock was even rumored to be considering offering the changeable backstrap.

I was going to say they were the first, but I think the Walther P99 beat them to the market
