This caliber vs that caliber.

Yeah I remember reading Elmer Keith stuff as a kid trying to gain valuable knowledge. Came to realization as an adult that no one caliber is all around better than another similar one.

Like my last recent rifle hunt I wanted a 308 win, but realized in that within my shooting capabilities I'd do as well with a 270 or 30-06. So was willing to take any of the three I could take in the best rifle I found and liked within my price range.

For the record the swedish 6 or 7 millimeters and 35 whelen I prefer but ammo scarcity and price ruled them out. All game on this continent can be taken with any of those rounds safely despite arguments from popular writers in certain time periods.

Lol. Some of us are spending time on here because it's hard to hold a 9 week old and shoot guns.
I've fired a whole 15 rounds this week.

I fired three shots this morning at a turkey shoot. You shoot three rounds at a turkey target, the best group out of each relay wins and you keep shooting until you win that round. Some folks do a lot of shooting until they win. Caliber didn't matter. Restricted to rimfires this year.
