It certainly is a rip-off of the Woodstock Peace Dove. Very good observation!
My good friend Chuck Wittig did up that logo to use on t-shirts and signs at Gunstock '94, a gun rights event held in Kansas City at Penn Valley Park, which was sponsored by the Western Missouri Shooters Alliance. We thought the Peace Dove perched on an M16 barrel would send a nice, friendly message. He used PC Paint, which was quite the graphics program at the time.
I remember my favorite sign from that event, which as you recall was the year the "AWB" was signed, and which was the impetus for our rally. The sign said "Clinton Can Kiss my AR15" with a lovely graphic of the rifle.
Since Chuck was the one who got me interested in automated bullet casting with Magma Engineering equipment, I thought it only fair to steal the design from him and use it as our company logo.
Thanks, Chuck! Peace, brother!
