Good evening all,

So I had purchased the TNW ASP about 6 months ago in 9mm. It worked well, but with the primer shortage, I decided to get a conversion kit to convert it to fire 45acp. It wasn't expensive and it doesn't require an FFL.

I ordered the kit and after 12 weeks (give or take a couple) I received the kit.

I changed out the parts and took it to the range. It fired excellent. I put almost 200 rounds and had about 5 FTE's. The parts I received seemed a bit rough, so I suspect the firearm parts need to smooth out. Other than that, it was great fun.

I fired it rapidly at the furthest point I could send the target at the indoor range, and with the Red dot, it was fairly accurate. See photos below.

I will say that as I neared the 200 mark, my shoulder hand and finger got a bit tired. The kick is there and doesn't bother me, but I guess trying to fire quickly made me a bit tired.

I bought the firearm home and ran some Flitz through the firing pin orifice and the bolt hole where the cocking handle goes. It smoothed the firing pin and allowed smoother operation.

If you're looking to purchase an ASP or ASR from TNW, recommend purchasing one with a larger caliber than 9mm, then buying the conversion kit for 9mm after. I think the larger calibers function better and the 45acp (or larger calibers) felt better to me.

The shots on the lower right side targets were where I started to get a bit tired, so the group wasn't as good

Overall very satisfied with the ASP.

I have been looking at them for too long. I have a couple things for sale locally and if they sell them a ASR in 10mm is likely in my immediate future.

TFBTV did a review on the 10mm. He gave it a positive review and enjoyed it in 10mm.

I was considering 10mm, but I don't have any handguns in 10mm. one of the considerations I was looking for was to have a PCC in the same caliber as my handguns.

That's one of the main reasons why I have hesitated on purchasing an AR or AK.

I think you'll enjoy it, especially in 10mm. One thing to keep in mind is that the ASP barrel length is 10.25 while the ASR is 16 inches. The other thing to consider is that if you purchase an ASR, you can only buy conversion kits with the 16 inch barrel. If you purchase the ASP however, you provide them your S/N for confirmation that it is an ASP and you can order the 10.25 inch barrel. I didn't ask, but it sounded like I could have asked for a specific length barrel longer than the 10.25. This of course was after they confirmed that I did indeed have the ASP.

Good luck.

Do they not work together?

Bought one of these in 45acp and added the barrel and bolt face for the 10mm. It is a really enjoyable range gun. Later acquired a 9mm rifle and purchased a 357 Sig barrel. The bolt face for the 10mm works with that setup. They do not have excellent triggers but with an inexpensive red dot you cam simply tear the middle out of the targets, great fun !! I would say that mine have been "boringly reliable".

I noticed that now they sell a multi caliber kit. A bit on the high side, but you get an ASR in multiple calibers. They also have a "match" trigger kit. I will say that out of the box, it's not bad when compared to the Scorpion (that trigger is ATROCIOUS).

It'll swivel left and right. It has some resistance but can be pulled out. However it will slide back when you fire depending on how tight you hold it.

I saw some authorized pistol braces with adjustable stocks, but I want to keep it stock to avoid any potential issues.

Good morning follow up to 45 acp bullets and powder loads on my TNW.

I reloaded using my newly purchased 200gr bullets. As stated previously, the only recipe I came across was in the Alliant site using sport pistol powder loaded to +p levels.

Above 6.2 grains there was no smoke which is good. Accurscy was good across the board, recoil was excellent and kicked less than 230gr bullets.

In summary, power pistol and sport pistol,. worked best for my configuration (good thing as I have a good supply of each type right now with shortages everywhere). Unique was good, accurate, and didn't smoke, but consistently would cause one jam in all the magazines I tried. If I find a recipe for 200gr bullets, I'll try it out, but I'm still looking. Its odd that there are so few recipes using the 200gr RN bullets.

I tried some CFE pistol loads I had, and they smoked quite a bit, but they were loaded at the low end of the spectrum (5.4gr).

As a side note, I tried a few 200gr bullets with 6.5 gr of sport pistol. They were very accurate, but a tad Spicy compared to my normal loads. Still is nice to have a bullet load that I can use on both handgun and firearm.

Happy shooting.
