11 showed up to shoot yesterday in 44 degree, windy and cloudy conditions, scores were nothing to brag about, i squeeked in a 92-100 that i was happy with. as the wind picked up the dippsey doodles and elevators came on like gang(trap) busters. after a small warm up our new pat trap machine threw the 46 rounds with out a hitch, the stop for a late lunch after with all the shooters(friends) made it a very good day.9 o/u brownings-one auto remington and a pump remington. eastbank.

Sounds like a good time was had. In the words of Miracle Max, "I've seen worse." :)

Starting in a couple of weeks, I'll be thrilled if the temps when I shoot trap get _up_ to 44 degrees. :D (usually at 7 or 8 PM) At the BSA turkey shoot at the same range a couple of weeks ago that I helped with, it started out at 20 degrees and a 15-20 mph wind blowing from directly behind the shooters starting at about 9:00 AM. That made for some very frustrated scouts when the bird would suddenly drop a foot or so from the wind. There was a significant drop in scores between those who shot before the wind picked up than after. Last year it was about the same temperature, but with a bunch of snow both in the air and on the ground. No wind though.

I kind of enjoy a cold, windy day once in a while. Hopefully I have my i.m. choke, loads a little faster than normal and my coffee quotient is up. Shoot a little faster and expect a few surprises.
