That's a Hogue IPSC holster. I believe it uses magnets or some mechanism to help retain the gun.

It's for shooting games only.

Thanks

I thought it looked a little flimsy for CCW but I guess it wouldn't be impossible to make some sort of varient of it for CCW Purposes. I use a Blackhawk Serpa CQB for my 1911A1 and it's a little to bulky for summer clothing.

I have a IWB but it does not have anything that stops the rear of the slide from rubbing and pushing into my side/back. I've been looking at a Cross Breed Holster and it looks like it will provide max comfort and a solid holster but the retention is not adjustable on the Kydex, Plus it's a little to expensive for me right now...

Lots of folk swear by the Crossbreed (both for comfort and concealment) ... frankly its well priced too. Similar to the Crossbreed is the Comptac Minotaur, but its more adjustable.

Those IPSC holsters like the Hogue or Ghost or CR Speed, etc. start around $200.

but the retention is not adjustable on the Kydex
Yes, it is.
You get out a hair dryer and a damp cloth, and mold the Kydex into the trigger-guard and ejection port more or less as needed. The instructions come with the holster.
Easy, simple, no special tools, and nothing to loosen up while you carry. I made a tweak to MrsBFD's Ohai from CrossBreed to increase the retention and make her XD "snap" out the way she wanted, and I tweaked my SuperTuck after the leather backing molded itself to my hip. I'll probably end up tweaking my 1911 SuperTuck somehow in the future, as the leather molds to YOU the Kydex sometimes needs a slight adjustment.

The SuperTuck is mid-price in the category, and quite a good deal. It costs less than three cheapo holsters, and has an actual warranty should you manage to damage it.

Interesting ... although I don't think it would make a GOOD CCW holster (needs to cover the gun better, hold the gun tighter to the body and help break up the shape of the gun under your concealment garment). Also $119...ouch (although I guess if you played gun games a lot and carried occasionally it would make a nice dual purpose holster).
