There's another similar store about 30 miles east of Dallas on US 380. The only difference is, if I remember correctly - only been thru there once and that was about 3 years ago, is that not only does it sell liquor and guns but is the town's florist too.

And you wonder why we have so many problems with the anti-gun crowd?!

You mean because they are irrational and illogical?

There's nothing in this photo or this business that is any more dangerous than a liquor store and gun shop in different buildings.

Frankly it's probably SAFER since liquor stores are so often robbed.

The exact same laws apply to each product whether they are sold in the same building or not.

This is marketing, nothing more.

Because people with your attitude make it difficult for the rest of us.

Exactly what attitude? That anti gun people are irrational and illogical?

You said this "drive through gun store" was somehow damaging but you offer no reasons why.

When offered reasons that there is NOT a problem other than some illogical perception issue you still have no answer.

I'm not sure who has the attitude.

Here's a tip. They hate us. Hatred is illogical, and they will hate us no matter what we say or do. Even if we surrender to them, and give up everything, they will still hate us. They will never support us.

So live and enjoy life, and pull their chains all you want -- it doesn't make them hate us more (because they couldn't possibly hate more than they already do), and nothing we can do will bring them around to our way of thinking.

alcohol & guns!! Get it??

Both legal to sell, get it?

Both legal to purchase, get it?

Both legal to be sold in the same building, get it?

No laws violated, just some small humor for the sake of marketing, get it?

It's funny, it's light hearted, and it's probably a good marketing move in its demographic. Wouldn't likely work in downtown San Diego but in south Texas I suspect they do a very nice business.

As with all of these things it is up to responsible citizens to behave. Certainly it's a bad idea to shoot and drink at the same time, but those who are going to do that will do so whether the 2 products are sold in the same store or across the street from each other so there is no REAL problem here, only a perception issue to shallow minded people.

Ignorance Is Bliss!

You've still failed to offer any kind of debate on the issue at all.

If you want to debate it, that's great, but you don't seem to have any argument other than it bothers you on some gut level that you can't put into words.

That's how the anti's debate; no facts, gut reactions, and "feel good" doublespeak.

This store has been in business down there for a very very long time. This picture surfaces every once and a while and everyone (til now) gets a good laugh out of it.

If there was any real fuel here to the anti fire it would have been used by now but, again, there is no fact/logic based argument that this is in any way dangerous or harmful.

Water-Man

It is people like yourself who are the problem.

Its time you and others like you started to understand that rolling over and playing nice is not a good way to retain your rights. Grow a pair and start defending them.

Anti-gun people are bullies - plain and simple. Like all bullies, giving in to their demands only makes them bolder. Standing up for yourself ALWAYS makes them back down.

we dont have anything like that here in salem. however we do have drive thru divorces.

So, after you drive through and git-R-dun, do you get to kick her ass out of the car?

Yup, they should add "smokes" because they already sell them. I've never, ever seen a liquor store that didn't sell cigarettes.

And you wonder why we have so many problems with the anti-gun crowd?!

Give them a reason or not, they'll make something up. It does my heart good to see their noses rubbed in it once in awhile

There's "Faiths" in Fort Madison, Iowa which is a tavern and gun shop. They have a similar sign out front--Guns/Liquor.

sign

In the 1960s San Antonio had several Thompsons Liquor Stores whch sold both booze and guns. Even had one in the second mall built here.
