cracked butt lost respect for UPS because employees stole guns being shipped. No doubt he doesn't do business with a tremendous number of large US companies as they too have employees who steal from the company and/or from clients.

The difference is that instead of dealing with the problem internally and prosecuting the theives, they punished their customers.

There ya go, unionized workers they can't fire and feel they gotta do something. We have daily pick=up at our shop and have tons of problems with UPS broken items, lost or stolen etc.

The best one latley was a $2400 firearm the driver would not sign the ins statement as required by UPS stating I do not put my name on any F%$!#@ papers. Took the package after being told to leave. We reported the STOLEN firearm to both local police and ATF then called UPS.

I do not care what happens to the driver as this is one of the highest paying jobs in our area. Do your job or loose it no sympathy fron me.

Would have changed to fedex but they have no daily pickup in our area anbd USPS is to expensive for the CHEAP internet buyers who whine at the UPS rate for shipping. <rant/>

I have to agree with those who said the local driver is the critical link in the system. I had a wonderful UPS driver before I moved to Virginia. Once I moved to a different apartment in the same town. The driver saw me walking down the street and pulled over to give me a package that had been addressed to my old apartment. Same guy must have been friends with the maintenance guys at my apartment because some times I would come home and find UPS packages sitting inside my apartment. :what: Could never quite figure out how he managed that. Now that I have moved, the new drivers are horrible. :cuss:

I am sure the vast majority of UPS packages are delivered as required in good condition to the correct address. Problem is with all the blissninny vapors over firearms and related equipment, an innocent screwup on the part of the delivery guy could cause you, the recipient, a major rash. Delivery of firearms and ammo to schools is really bad mojo. It may be perfectly innocent but the staff blissninnies are not paid to make rational judgments. :scrutiny:
