I just want to shed some light on a major screw up by FedEx.

I ordered a couple of boxes of ammo from TDS a few days ago and had it shipped FedEx with signature required.

FedEx showed up today to deliver, my wife was in the house - she could have signed for it. Instead the package was left on my front yard. My dog was in the front yard and I'm guessing the driver didn't want to enter because of the dog.

So the driver left the box of ammo on the front yard with the dog.:banghead:

My wife goes out to the front yard to find pieces of cardboard and .45 caliber Gold Dots all over our front yard!!!

I called FedEx to find out who signed for the package, I was told my name. Little problem with that - I was at work at the time.

So instead of not delivering the package if he could not obtain a signature which would have been the appropriate thing to do, the driver forged my name and tossed a box of ammo over the fence into the yard.:fire:

Hell of a job FedEx!

i have had bad experiences with Fedex as well. That is just horrible and you need to get to the bottom of that and get someone fired and money for the damaged goods!

UPS no better

I'm a dealer. UPS misdelivered $1500+ of guns and stuff to the dialysis center down the street. They left the delivery on their back dock. That's right. Pistols for the taking!

So I get my partial order and notice after about 5 mins a box is missing. Call UPS.. no help. An hour later the dialysis place calls us. We get the missing inventory.

It gets better. Last week UPS loses another package (that's two in 30 days). It has two handguns in it. I do some investigating. UPS forged my signature on the original missing shipment at 6:06 pm (my shipment that made it to me that the mis-delivered box should have been with arrived at 12:45). Turns out, according to the UPS investigator, the driver forged my name with the permission of his supervisor who he called and asked what to do.

FedEx: When it absolutely, positively isn't going to get there overnight.

Only Parcel Post is worse. Each day they'll leave those little notices that they missed me, and I can't get the package because the driver isnt back from his route yet, and by the time he is, the Post Office is closed. So it takes me a week or so to get a package from them.

Yep, FedEx delivered a nice stereo system I had bought to the wrong address. Someone else got a nice surprise gift at my expense. I got $100 from FedEx to compensate me for the stereo worth several hundred dollars.

You should call your credit card company and dispute the charge as not delivered. Have the retailer and FedEx fight it out.

I wonder if you dog swallowed any of them...

Might want to sleep with body armor on if he's prone to gas.
I've had the best luck with UPS but none of them are great. USPS likes to fold "DO NOT BEND!" envelopes in half and cram them in my mailbox, and I think FedEx plays soccer with most of the packages during lunch breaks.

Shame on the driver for not wanting to take a chance on your dog. Bad driver, bad driver.

About a year ago, I sent a very nice collector grade A-5 shotgun through U.P.S., i put insurance on it . It arrived with the cardboard box damaged on one end and inside the HARD PLASTIC gun case was busted up on the end and the stock was destroyed on the shot gun. the UPS investigator said it wasnt PROPERLY PACKAGED and they wouldnt pay. IT WAS DOUBLE BOXED! i guess it should have been in a steel heavy gauge box! . i will NOT send a bag of DOG FOOD via UPS in the future. the post office seems good about paying on things, so ive heard.

I'll add the the list. Finally got my 5000 primers that FedEx sent to the wrong address. Person at that address signed for them. They were in original Federal box with hazardous materials stickers all over them. They must either reload a lot or they were illiterate.

DHL doesn't even drive in our area anymore..

HP shipped a computer via DHL and it stayed in Waco, Texas for 2 days. I called to check on it and the lady at DHL suggested that I drive over to Waco and pick it up. Her "little ways" on a Texas map translates into over 150 miles one way for us to drive.
They finally made arrangements for the Post office to ship the rest of the way.

I'm not a fan of FedEx, Ive known my UPS driver for 5 years and my USPS for 10!
Both are great guys. Usually end up having a conversation at the mail box with my USPS guy. Ive fixed 2 of his cars.

I wonder if you dog swallowed any of them...
No just scattered them around

Um dude, this dog needs some serious obedience training. Unless that box of ammo was slathered in bacon grease, fed ex is the LEAST of your problems. This dog is destructive. Yes fed ex was stupid but a good dog doesn't tear into everything new it sees.
She's just over a year old. She's got issues with cardboard boxes.

Shame on the driver for not wanting to take a chance on your dog. Bad driver, bad driver.
The diver should have taken the package back if he couldn't get a signature for whatever reason.

By the way here is the mean old dog::)

Ive heard that those Puggles with bite your ankles till they become kankles. I guess they like 45ACPs too.

Sounds like blame to go around everywhere. I hate signature required. Here's how it goes. I hear a knock at the door, 8sec. later I get to the door to see the UPS truck driving away. I swear they must fill out the "We missed you" form before they knock, then run like hell cause you may take too much time.
I go out of my way to order where no signature is required.
However, the driver should have taken the package back for another time.

I worked for UPS for 10.5 yrs. Thank God that nightmare was over 9 years ago. I now have a job that I usually have time to do properly. Those guys are under so much pressure and time constraints to get rid of those boxes its a wonder they do as well as they do.
I once dropped off a box of vitamins on a porch with no signature and came back a day later and "Rover" had shreaded it into a 1,000 pieces. I guess he was good on his recomended daily allowances for a while.:uhoh:

I've had FedEx leave firearms returned from repair left unsigned for on my front porch in plain sight of any passer by! Fortunately the street is pretty far away so all that could be seen was a somewhat small package.

UPS and USPS give me great service. Its the local employees that make the difference! The workers at FedEx just don't seem to care.

IMHO, though the real problem is your destructive dog!

My cousin used to work for UPS. The stuff he told me they did at night..... Plus the thefts he saw (that were caught)..... Its a crap shoot with any of them.
