Boats,

Isn't it curious how no actual fighting force...

I'm sure the Aussie SAS guys participating with us in the WoT are cut to the quick that some ex-swabbie thinks they're not real fighters. :p

You got me Tam. Twelve guys and a mascot wallaby with a concealed carry pouch use Glocks against terrorists in possibly adverse conditions when their anti-gun, risk averse, Prime Minister John Coward lets them, maybe, if he's not busy planning their stand down.

Everyone else is just posing compared to that.:D

Besides, I think they carry the Sig P226 just like the Brit SAS.

While this has nothing whatsoever to do with the story, one sure way for glock to boost the sale of 45GAP is to restrict it to leo sales, at least for a while. If they said you can't have it, everybody would want it.

as much as glocks disagree with me, they did buy 100,000 Glock 19s for the Iraqi Army. they can't think they're that horrible.

Isn't it curious how no actual fighting force has ever adopted "Perfection?"

Somebody once told me a few years ago the the IDF was using them. I know they don't NOW but I thought they used to.

My information could be entirely wrong, I have nothing to prove it's true, and really couldn't care less if the IDF ever did use a Glock. Just throwing it out there.

If I'm wrong, feel free to poke fun of me and call me names. :D

The Glock 37 /.45 GAP is NOT being adopted by the USMC?

Hold it right there, folks.
Better get it straight from the horse's mouth...
and check out the claims in GLOCK 2005 catalog:

Boats,

The wallaby says that even though the gun in his pouch is a P-226 and not made of tupperware, he still thinks squids are sheilas. ;) :neener:

Diet Coke outta nostils....G'Day!

"Tie me kangaroo down, mate:" is that a Glock in your pouch, or are you just happy to see me?:neener:

In regard to that other forum and the way they handle members posting information, I am glad I am here at this site forum.

We are here to read information and gather what we can while being responsible for wading thru the BS ourselves. If everyone keeps posters honest, as happens here, the less of posting fraudulant information happens.

Don't get me wrong, purposely posting false information should be againt forum rules. However, we are not guided by the rules and laws or journalism and we are not in the business of running down facts and cooberating storys before we post. Heck, this is the internet after all.

But chastising a member that has copied and pasted information about a subject relevant to the forums subject matter is nonsense, whether true or not.

:D

Yes, Marshall, this forum is much more touchie-feelie than the other forum, which is moderated by a no-BS gentleman who expects that you know what you're talking about before spreading nonsense.

Everybody, group hug!

:D:neener: :D

Different forum, different rules. This is a discussion forum, while TF is more of a "ask the expert" forum.

this is shocking- I always thought the Glock pistols lost the XM9 trials because the militree was leery of a gun that didn't have an exposed hammer and manual safety. Interesting.

Actually, Glock never entered the XM9 trials:
"...the revolutionary Glock 17 pistol was withheld from the U.S. XM9 trials at the behest of its inventor, Gaston Glock, who would not accept U.S. government requirements to release the winning contender's production and patent rights to open bidding."
