I live in Suffolk, Va., part of the Tidewater area that includes Virginia Beach. While shooting at intruders through the bedroom door may not be the smartest thing to do I doubt it would have gotten him in trouble, but shooting out the window is a big no no.

Well. there was a not very smart guy a county or two over from me that fired several shots-.22lr - at a couple because they were committing that most serious crime of all, theft of a hand made sign from his lawn.!
The couple had their infant son in their vehicle, which resulted in the additional charge of endangering the welfare of a child being brought against the shooter.
