COLOSHOOTR,
Many thanks. Philippines is good. Japanese glass is even better.
I have a few Nikon monarch and they have amazing glass, eye relieve and quality although the reticules need more work to get the shots right.
I believe also made in the Philipines with Japanese glass. Some US glass too as optics companies shared semi finished inventory.
I don't have anything against oriental people and their manufacturing folks but I will simply not buy anything made in china. My granpa and my father both fought the communist and I did follow their footsteps and will not buy anything from a nation that A) Are a communist regime. B) they harbor terrorists.
Folks complain the government is taking the jobs to china and it is really us doing it. Sometimes I do not have an option when I look very sadly in the bottom a tag saying made in china, and this is the sad part.
Even if the laws allow imports of Assault Carbines and we could get a fully funcitonal AR made in china for $100 I would not buy it. I do not care.
With every dollar we save in chinese products one more dollar towards the future misery of our children. You will never ever find me at walmart but anyway this is a different story.
Anyway this looks very promising and like a nice addition to my Leupold and Nikon collection. I also have some Burris tac.ones and like them too but it seems that this Vortex could be a superb option for long range.
A friend from a local swat team pointed me to them and I am going to get one after a little more research about exactly what model and features I want.
Cheers.
E.
