The same things you’d do with any other .223 Remington/5.56x45mm, by far the most popular centerfire rifle caliber in America. Target shooting, plinking, competition, and defense of home.Hey younger people. What do you do with such a thing.
If you really think that’s why people own smallbore centerfire rifles like AR’s and such, I don’t know what to say, except that I’m surprised to see that sentiment on THR.Stroke it like a kitty cat and dream about something like a modern version of red dawn except with energy drinks and hot potato chips aplenty, and an enemy too stupid to search the basements of urban soccer moms houses to find the resistance fighters.
Like most guns now, it’s just a range toy. Kinda neat but also kinda niche. Just something to show off a bit with really. Looky what I’ve got…

I’m not a young person (53), but have always wanted a civilian AUG, just never made it a financial priority. I really like the weight distribution of bullpups, and the fact that you can get a longer barrel with a short, very handy overall length. And the AUG is noted for accuracy and reliability, and is well-made.
