Here's the gun with the ammunition that it was made for-

The brass is made from .303 British with the rim turned down and the length cut to 1-11/16". I then carefully expanded the throat until it would accept the heel of the bullet. The 200 grain .452 Heel Base SWC is loaded over 10.0gr. of Trail Boss. No chrono so I don't know how fast they are going, but to my ear they sound supersonic. Could be wrong; we'll see. It is definitely a hoot to fire! Muzzle blast is loud but the flash doesn't seem to be too bad. Recoil isn't bad, but then the gun weighs 3-1/2 pounds so that soaks up a lot of it. I think I need more .303 brass...
