sorry

First the doc: Wal-Mart: the high cost of low prices: was greviously debunked by the national review. Sorry most of the issues were blown out of proportion, faked or completely misled.

Gun Tech can you please give examples of what your referring to? Please don't say common knowledge. Another Uncle makes his money buying property near where a Wal-Mart is going to go up so he can put in various franchises (fast food, video rental, BBQ's etc.) around the Wal Mart. His business's thrive.

As to business's being hurt? What kind of businesses? I'm sorry Wal-Mart has the prices they do because they buy in bulk. Do they take a loss on some products to bring you in the door? I'm sure on some things, but they have to make a profit somewhere.

I've always found the immediate hostlility around the big box stores interesting. Of course starting my business over the last several months we've really enjoyed seeking out ways to take customers from Wal-Mart, Sportsmans and especially Cabelas.

So Wal-Mart puts everyone else out of business? I guess that explains the mega-malls being built around every Wal-Mart I've ever seen. Yea. Everybody is going out of business.

You suppose "Poor old mom and pop"'s grandparents whinned as much about Sears and Roebuck and Montgomery Ward?

Breaking news, this just in!

An ongoing investigation by the highly regarded watchdog organization, Internet Commandos, has just discovered and verified the following:

Wal-Mart, that capitalistic cesspool of business corruption has its actual corporate headquarters in the lower depths of Hell and the true CEO is none other than Satan himself!!!

Details at eleven.

geeez........ these threads get wearisome.....

Due to the fact that I can't stand just how awesome Wal*Mart threads are, I'm closing this discussion.

In all seriousness, this debate has been hashed out about ten thousand times already on this forum, and is, quite frankly, just slightly more boring than debating the merits of 9mm vs. 11.43mm.
