Clearly I didn't know the new Walther P22 "Q" comes with a captured recoil spring and Tandemkross thanks me for my ignorance.

I watched the YouTube vids, read some stuff, and "learned" what a pain the uncaptured spring made reassembly. So as I ordered my new 22Q I simply ordered a Tandemkross recoil assembly.
Then, when my new gun arrived I stripped it down to clean and BEHOLD! the captured spring was stock. (Note to me: Read stuff more carefully.)

So, now I'm wondering which is "better," the Tandemkross or stock Walther recoil assembly. I put the after-market part in and may replace it with the OEM part when I replace the front sight with a fiber optic.

It's a neat little gun but I gotta shoot a couple of thousand rounds thru it (or dry fire with the safety down, and on, so no damage to the firing pin) to work in the trigger. It's smooth but at 9+ pounds DA and 5 lbs SA I'd like the trigger to be just a tad lighter.
