ok deadin, what IS that? Looks cool!

That is a little blowback pocket pistol made by Bergman of Germany around 1900-1910.(of later Bergman-Bayard fame) It was chambered in 8mm, probably bottleneck, as Bergman was an early proponent of rimless bottlenecks. In fact some of his early rounds didn't have rims or extractor grooves. Depended on residual gas pressure to blow the case out of the chamber. (Great idea until you get a misfire.:cuss: ) I owned this one a number of years ago and never did find any ammo for it. The gun is actually quite scarce and, I think, the ammo even more so. Power-wise... 25ACP to 32 Auto range.

Four For Comparison...

QuarterBoreGunner's COP 357 reminded me of my little oddball .22rf, 4-barrel Mossberg Brownie (lower right in photo). And Carl N. Brown's AR7 with a broomhandle 7.65mm reminded me of my .22rf Charter Arms Explorer II (another version of the AR7) compared to my Chinese Shansei .45acp Model '96 broomhandle. Note how much closer in size it is to the Explorer than Brown's 7.65mm. The little bitty nickeled gun is a Liliput 4.25mm. Ammo costs about as much PER ROUND as I paid for the gun at an online auction. 45B...

1880-1900 Martini Henry rifles, the top one is in 300 Sherwood with a full cadet style stock, the center one is really odd, a Martini type action but with an exposed hammer.

An 1891 Argentine Mauser carbine, all matching and excellent barrel, sporterized int he 50's by carving and checkering the stock and adding a peep sight.

Close up of carving:

My Dad had a sporterized Argentine Mauser very similar to that.
He used it for hunting when he was a kid.
Worthless relatives stole it and pawned it

Thanks for posting the pic I think I'm going to get one to replace it and give
it to dad for Christmas.

Ok, not weird, just fantastic USS Alabama
Yeah, I gotta agree: fantastic.

And that's an understatement.

Can't even imagine what it must be like to pull the trigger on those.

I beleave that pistol is called an Apachie Pistol (pin fire) and it was used by Paris (France :barf: ) street gangs to indifferent effect:D . As you can see it is the French version of the Swiss Army knife. Only thing it doesn't show is the handy cork screw attachment because it is the first thing broken in use:p .

If you guys ever see "Modern Marvels: Superguns" on the History Channel, watch the first 10 minutes or so. There's a few minutes of footage of the Dardick, and they even fire it :D

The Goncz/Claridge Hi-Tec pistol. You've seen it in Total Recall and the Planet of the Apes remake. Unlike all the Tecs and AP-9s of the era, it's solid, heavy all metal construction.

9mm, takes very close to Sig (and some guns take the Sigs) mags. Most of it's individually hand fitted to a point where parts didn't interchange on the three I found last year.

Straight blowback, with a bolt locking device that serves no real purpose whatsoever (doesn't lock back after a mag is empty), a trigger best described as "seven stage" and sights that are far more optimistic than the weapon is.

I've fired it once just to say I had, as it was NIB until that point.

I HEAR WE'RE TALKING UGLY GUNS???

I LOVE THE C-96 MAUSER NO MATTER HOW UGLY IT MAY BE TO OTHERS. However, here's a homemade Chinese copy I figure is about the ugliest gun I've EVER seen. Although, the second photo also illustrates another "UGLY" candidate: the 7mm Tribuzio squeezer.

45Broomhandle, I also like Mausers, but I agree: That's one ugly, run-over looking contraption in the top photo!

OOOOPS! WEIRDEST GUN PICS WANTED...

MY MISTAKE!!! You wanted "WEIRD," not ugly. Well, does the following photo qualify? It was titled as a "redneck's mailbox" when it was sent to me. Lot of gun nuts who've seen it are really jealous of whoever owns this original.

I think Emo Phillips said it best: "You don't appreciate a lot stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked every day by a middle aged women. stuff you pay good money for in later life."

WEIRD YOU WANT? WEIRD YOU GOT!

Photo below is of an old Mauser listed for sale on a Luger collector's website in Switzerland. Although it was priced, I could not decipher its price in U.S. dollars. It was only described as a Mauser Siderlatch Special, and said to have a forerunner of the Red Dot system mounted atop.
