weatherby shotguns

How do these guns rank among the other shotgun brands out there. In particular how does it rank compared to mossberg, benelli, winchester, and browning? Also if it ranks better depending on what the purpose of the gun is then just add that in your comment. I don't know much of anything about this brand for shotguns but I just saw a video about them and became curious to how good they actually are. Thanks for the help!

Depends on what ones - Weatherby doesn't make anything, so over the years they have had very good guns made (SKB) to some crappy ones made.

Re the previous post about Weatherbys actually made by SKB, I have SKBs now, and have owned others, and have been very happy with them all. Well-made, tight, good guns. Actually I recall a time when the SKBs actually had superior features to the Weatherbys (longer forcing cones and over-bored barrrels). Same with some Ithaca shotguns -- I still have an SKB-made Ithaca S/S that is a beautiful gun. So, if you find a Weatherby you like, try to see whether it was made by SKB and I suspect you'll be happy.
