Welcome Back, Mr. Nightcrawler

I have Nightcrawler and Lorenzo models here, but not one for Ling. I'll see what I can find, but could use some help with casting. I do have images of my Taiwanese ex-GF Bonnie with a Colt 635 and a Glock, but she didn't look the part as an assassin.

from my POV sweet and harmless looking IS the right look for an assasin.:p

Rednecks , White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer...

Okay, I'll find a way to get this on the Soundtrack. :neener:

<wooks up>

"Hi Larry, anyone ever tell you - you are BIG!" :uhoh:

<muffled sound>

"Why am in this duffle bag - where are we going...? "

rnchick - Sarah.

Frank - Bob

JShirly - Lorenzo

Oleg - Reaper

Henry Bowman - Eddie

Preacherman - Gordon

Just thought of something. That super photogenic black family Oleg used - would be great in this work...umm...where be the writers? Safe House and the family kicks butt and takes names. :)

John is the right size and toughness and attitude, but you're gonna have to get him some more pigment. :) (wait, he is in Afghanistan, he's probably going to have a good tan by the time he gets home).

I've pictured Jill as Natalie Mendoza from The Descent. (damn that is a good movie)

Jill as Natalie Mendoza from The Descent

*ahem* You, Justin, George Hill and others around here are determined to make me
1. Get a TV - I do not own one.
2. Visit someone with a TV and rent a Movie
3. Do a search on Dogpile Search Engine.

I'll end up doing #3. Last movie I viewed in Theatre was Collateral, and the last movie I watched off a VHS tape was Bullitt

John just came to mind...

Oleg as Reaper, for some reason Oleg to me could easily be "geekish" and "goulish" at same time. I mean just in the middle of trying to type something on a keyboard, Danger shows up - pops Danger with A Glock - and continue typing on a keyboard.

"Hey Lorenzo - got a dead guy in doorway, you mind moving him...I need to finish getting this information we need..."

Me?

'Crawler & Correia and a few others are aware of my character, some impromtu training and all I've shared or folks have see me do...and I just don't fit what all has been going in so far.

I tend to be the guy that ain't there, less likely to be seen coming or going, and - for instance, instead of shooting at BGs behind me - just have a hay bail tossed into the road by me, or someone from the bed of a truck and let BGs wreck.

" Terrible wreck on FM 10, looks like they hit a hay bail, must not be from these parts, else they know'd to be aware of stuff like this" - Country Sheriff

;)

It's weird...

...I"ve worked hard to establish my character as being separate from myself. All the same...ego won't permit me to allow someone else to be the masses' visual representation of my alter-ego.

I'll have to get some pictures taken...

Okay, here's my thoughts on the cast -

Jason Statham as Nightcrawler -

Colin Farrell as Lorenzo -

John Leguizamo as Reaper -

Kate Beckinsale as Jill -

Lucy Liu as Ling -

Gary Oldman as Gordon -

Michael Chiklis as Fat Man -

I wouldn't exactly refer to Michael Chiklis as effeminate.
(note Chiklis was mistakenly cast as Big Eddie in the previous post)
As I see it, "Big" Eddie is big in name alone. Big, only as in at the top of the ladder, not in stature.
Remember "Mr. Big" from Rocky & Bullwinkle? He was smaller than Boris yet brough fear just by the mention of his name.

The one person who I think would be great in the role (because I really, really can't stand him and I would jump up and cheer out loud when he dies) is that so-called comedian, who just AIN'T funny, "Ant".

You are right :banghead:

It's been a long day and I totaly spaced on the characters. I meant for Chiklis to be the "Fat Man." Obviously he is not fat, but he meets the standard for "imposing bulk" on the big screen!

I guess, I'll have to go do some editing. :)

I think someone else said this already, but I've paid for books that were not anywhere near as good as the stuff you guys have written. Keep up the good work.

Correia, let use know when your book is available cause I want a copy.

I figure Gary Oldman for more of a Big Eddie type. Every time he comes into the story, all I can see is Zorg form Fifth Element. Minus the technicolor trenchcoat, of course.

Put that "Flock of Seagulls" do on his head and make him just a bit more effeminate: Hey, it's the poodle-petter!

Gary Oldman would be my choice for Tailor. As I described Tailor, he looked and talked like Zorg from The 5th Element.

Remember, Ling, Nightcrawler and Jill are all under 30. Reaper is like 21. 30+ actors probably won't pull it off well. THe youth is an important aspect of NC's character; he's young, 24 years old when this story is taking place, but as far as he's concerned, his life is over.

I like David Morse for Gordon.

I suspected as much... Which leaves both Lucy Liu and my other choice, Kelly Hu....out. :(
(Both were born in 1968.)

Also, if it weren't for the age thing ( and possibly the accent ), I'd say that Antonio Banderas would make a good Lorenzo.

I also think Matt Damon would make a good Nightcrawler, if he were both younger and physically larger.

But then again, Hollywood got away with making Wolverine 6'2" instead of 5'3", so.... *shrug*

I was thinking about Gary Coleman as Nightcrawler:neener:

Seriously, I would think about the big guy from everyone loves raymond as BOB.
